Snow Day Cat Musings: Inspired by Madeleine
Here are some snow day “cat” musings from my sketchbook. I started playing around with some arbitrary “puddles” of watercolors which lent themselves well to cat forms. The thought to try this stemmed from observing our new kitten, Madeleine, who can amuse herself endlessly with the simplest things, like twist ties or a wad of paper. Watching her gave me the idea to keep it simple, allowing my imagination to discover something new in formless doodles. She reminds me to be playful, which is something I haven’t done enough of lately.
