Welcome to the new, refreshed thehummingbirpost.com. Hurray!!

We invite you to explore our new version, which we hope better represents how HB has evolved. It is hard to believe it's been more than 7 years since we started out!!!

Our main goal of the rebuild was to migrate HB to the latest site infrastructure offered by our host so that we can take advantage of upgrades to technology in web design and site maintenance. While we were at it, we worked to also:

• streamline the content on the blog--by limiting the number of posts that live on the site at one time our users should experience faster navigation

• slim down the navigation layers while also adding multiple ways to access content from the homepage

• improve SEO for Hummingbird. It's exciting to see some of HB posts coming up first in popular online searches and we'd like to see more of that

• provide a visually pleasing, more sophisticated design that allows HB to change it up easily and often.

And of course our ultimate goal is more quality, new, easy to find content for our readers, and more reads and exposure for our contributors. Once you have had a chance to “flip through” the pages, please let us know your comments. We will be tweaking and making changes as we go. We are not finished by a long shot!
