Wrinkles, Over Time

My Face is My History.

Wrinkles.

I look in the mirror and smile
There they are, nowhere to hide,
All part of my life's story.
I've loved, and been loved.
I’ve gained, and I’ve lost.
Joys I couldn’t have imagined.
Sorrow I thought would kill me.
My face is my history.
It’s a living story book,
Erase them?
Not for a million dollars.
Or a face lift.
