Just Folks. National Hamburger Day.

May 28th is National Hamburger Day!

Many of us might be thinking about burgers as we prepare to kick off Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of summer.

Well it’s almost the weekend and what better way to celebrate than with recognition of the upcoming National Hamburger Day!

We all know our favorite restaurants that make the best versions of this iconic staple— chicken, turkey, all beef, sirloin, lamb, mushroom, vegan, bean and veggie burgers. Add the special sauces and toppings such as pickles, onion rings, cheese, raw onions, peppers, lettuce and tomatoes, and all merge together between a toasted seeded roll!

To me though, the best burgers are the ones you can grill at home and share with friends. The summer season is especially the time for that, with potluck BBQs, BYOB gatherings, beachside or poolside BBQs and the volley ball or croquet tournaments that spontaneously form in our backyards, along with a light buzz-on! Whatever summertime means to you!!!

These are the times we are all longing for! Buy your favorite burger ingredients and condiments, along with your favorite beverages, and call your friends. It’s National Burger Day, Dang It! Get your Grill On!

And also, in the spirit of Memorial Day, please remember to take some time to think about and honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our democracy we all hold dear.
