July 4th. Cherry-Vodka Slush
This sounds about right! Happy Fourth of July Hummingbird! We are “so fortunate to be living in the land of the free.” Here’s to Independence Day and the U.S. of A.!!
Hummingbird’s recognition of Independence Day clearly belongs to Tina Folks this year, as we transition one of Tina’s summer holiday watercolors into the Hummingbird Recipe.
Per Cocktail
1 oz Cherry grenadine
Ice cubes
3 oz Lemonade
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
2 Fresh or maraschino cherries
Pour Grendadine into glass. Home made grenadine is best, but store bought is good too. If home made, be sure to cool, and then chill.
In a blender combine ice cubes, lemonade and vodka. Blend to snow cone consistency.
Pour mixture into the bar glass on top of the grenadine.
Pour Blue Curacao over ice.
Garnish with 2 fresh or maraschino cherries.
