Embrace the color and flavor of late summer!
The late summer season always conjures up fond memories I have as a young girl, when my sibs and I would go to visit my Grandparents after school and pick cherry tomatoes from their Victory garden. For starters, Grandpa would hand us each a small bowl of salt. Then, he'd invite us into the garden and demonstrate his technique of licking the cherry tomato first before rolling it around in the salt and eating it.
This was comfort food, pure and simple.
